I have found the key to my shoulder pain. Maybe it will help you, too. It's a posture problem for me. I must sit in a chair that can go back a bit and then square my shoulders and make sure I don't hunch them AT ALL. I may have to put a pillow in the small of my back, too. If I think about it while knitting I have no pain. Hope you get some sleep soon and your pain eases, too.
